Dispute Resolution Process Submission From: Peter Belt Received: 25 January 2005 This appears to be a solution in search of a problem. And an ill defined problem at that. Please quantify what you are trying to solve, and what DNC resources are currently committed to dealing with disputes. Also provide a listing / summary / overview / breakdown of disputes over the last year (as known) and their outcomes. A cynic might even note that this process is simply a InternetNZ "visibility" exercise. The first come, first served method has operated, some would say, remarkably well. And any disputes that can be legally supported will surely find their way to court, regardless of cost. Creativity by domain name owners as to what other names can represent their product, service or trademarks have solved this problem to date. Some would say, very well. I support the status quo.
