Whois Policy Review Submission From: James Clark Received: 26 October 2004 1. Should all the information currently displayed, continue to be available as a  result of a whois query? No. 3. b) If no – What fields should not be displayed, and why? Registrant, admin and technical contact physical addresses should not be listed, due to previous abuse, Domain Names NZ providing the best example. The Registrar's physical address should remain. 6. Do you agree with the current policy position that wild card searches, and bulk whois queries, should not be permitted? Yes Why? Yes, the current policy is good. The whois is a mechanism that should be used to find information about a known domain, not to find available domains. 7. What are your views on the position of InternetNZ to not publish the levels set for monitoring Whois query transactions? The current position is good.
