Chan's Martial Arts (the holder of <redacted>.co.nz) agrees with the following three proposed changes to the conflicted domain name process:
- That all registrants involved in a conflicted domain name to lodge a preference within 12 months. If this proposed change is made, it is suggested that the start/end date for the 12 month period (and the consequences for not lodging a preference in that time) be advertised/notified in a range of different ways to ensure all parties are aware of the new requirements.
- To remove the option for a conflicted name to become a new second level.
- To clarify that, in cases where all registrants have lodged a preference saying they don’t care who gets the shorter name, the conflicted name will be released for general registration.
Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed changes.
