From a commercial perspective Maidstone Properties submission is that the .nz extension cannot be assigned to any party if the .co.nz or any other variation is already registered. This should apply unless there is collective agreement from all the holders of the other domain names.
This submission to not assign a .nz extension to any party should also apply in particular if the current holder of the .co.nz extension is an established operating commercial enterprise, as opposed to holding a .co.nz extension on a shelf or unused basis.
We also request preference and priority be given to the registrant who applied to register the conflicted domain name first in time, this is also consistent with the existing domain name registration process.
On behalf of Maidstone Properties Limited thank you for the opportunity to file this submission.
