Whois Review - Expressions of Interest for Working Group

Expressions of Interest are sought from people interested in being part of the Working Group being set up to review the current .nz Whois Policy. More details available. The .nz Oversight Committee (NZOC) has announced a review of the Whois policy and are seeking expressions of interest from people who would like to be part of the review team.

Current information displayed in the .nz Whois includes details of the registrar, registrant, the administration and technical contacts. It also includes details of the registration and renewal dates.

NZOC's intention is that the Whois policy is reviewed in its entirety. To ensure a thorough review, NZOC is establishing a Whois Review Working Group. The Working Group, to be convened by David Russell, will consider all matters relating to the information displayed and access to that information. It does not include any technical requirements or operation of the .nz registry system except where they relate to information displayed as a result of a Whois query.

The Working Group will develop a project timetable that takes into account the time commitment that members of the team are able to contribute. The positions are not paid but expenses will be covered.

If you are interested in being part of the Working Group, please send an email to [email protected] including a brief description of who you are and why you are interested in being involved. NZOC will look at all expressions of interest and decide on the members of the Working Group at their meeting on 9 August 2004.

Expressions of interest are required by 5pm on Thursday 5 August 2004.
