DNCL statement regarding Woosh liquidation

The Domain Name Commission Limited (DNCL) has been informed that authorised .nz registrar Woosh Wireless (NZ) Limited has gone from voluntary administration into liquidation.

DNCL can confirm that the liquidation resulted in the cancellation of approximately 150 .nz domain names, affecting approximately 70 registrants. The operation of these domain names for website and email may also have been affected.

When advised of the issue, the liquidators of Woosh arranged for the domain names to be transferred to another .nz authorised registrar. As part of that process, the domain name registrations have been reinstated.

The affected registrants are free to stay with this registrar or move to another registrar. A list of authorised .nz registrars is available at https://dnc.org.nz/registrars.

Affected Woosh registrants wanting more information are encouraged to contact DNCL at [email protected]
