Outreach and engagement (2022-2023)
Outreach and engagement is one way the DNC promotes awareness and observance of .nz Rules. The DNC carries out activities through social media and presentations to share learnings from .nz, and stay connected to our stakeholders and international communities.

The DNC was part of the .nz registry replacement project, jointly leading the registrars' migration workstream with InternetNZ. Both DNCL and INZ have collaborated with registrars over many channels, including technical forums, webinars, emails, phone calls, and Slack for registrar migration purposes. The regular RAG (Registrar Advisory Group) meetings were paused during that time.
DNC presented a webinar to the Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand and to the Privacy Officers of the South Island.
DNC published eight blogs on a wide range of topics of interest to our stakeholders.
International
APTLD
Isobel Egerton, Interim Domain Name Commissioner, was a Board member of the Asia Pacific Top Level Domain Name Association, which ran conferences in Muscat, Oman and Vientiane, Laos.
CENTR participation
InternetNZ is an associate member of CENTR (the Council of European National Top-Level Domain Registries), and DNC staff are actively participating in CENTR events and work. The Head of Technical and Relationships presented to CENTR on 8 February 2023 on the migration to the new registry in 2022.
